AIR FLOW: Trimming and modifying the oem plastics/radiator shrouding can and will improve air-flow which will improve reliability and increase performance. The more cool air that gets to the motor the better it will run.
FANS: For extreme conditions an additional fan and improved air ducting can be very helpful in improving the reliability.
